Preparing to Exit Your Business & Free Trial vs. Freemium Pricing Models

In the 2022 State of Independent SaaS survey, 55% of founders ultimately are hoping to sell their business.

As Rob frequently says, "Everybody exits."

Whether you are being inundated with acquisition offers or you are struggling to find product market fit and are ready to hang up your hat, the decision to move on from your business can be a particularly difficult one.

Dr. Sherry Walling dug into some of the psychological implications of selling your business during her talk at MicroConf US 2022.

She also shared a few tips for preparing to exit, including:

#1: Be aware of the external factors that may be influencing your decision to exit.
#2: Proactively plan for uncertainty.
#3: Know that grief is a natural part of the decision to exit.
