Alex Pham is the founder of Palmetto & Pine, where he is focused on investing in or acquiring a software company and continuing to grow it as a long-term owner-operator. His goal is to provide founders with a flexible alternative to other exit options, built on mutual trust and a commitment to stewardship.
Prior to founding Palmetto & Pine, Alex was second-in-command of an eight-figure ARR division at Clio, a leading legal software platform. There, he led teams and initiatives spanning go-to-market, product, and operations. Alex’s earlier experience includes leadership roles at Shopify, advising software companies in education and healthcare, and investing in fintech companies globally through the World Bank Group.
Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, Alex is a proud dad of two, an avid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and a music history nerd. He earned a bachelor’s degree in international business and finance from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
